Last updated: 05/07/2025
By using this website and/or engaging in counselling services with Therapy with Monica, you agree to the following terms:
Nature of Services
Counselling is a professional and confidential service that offers emotional and psychological support. It is not a crisis or emergency service.
If you are in crisis or at risk of harm, please contact your GP, NHS 111, or emergency services.
Eligibility
Clients must be 18 years or older (unless otherwise agreed) and residing in the UK. By contacting me, you confirm that you meet these conditions.
Ethical Standards
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and work in accordance with its Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions.
Booking and Payments
Sessions are 50 minutes, typically held weekly unless otherwise agreed.
Payment is due in advance via [bank transfer / online payment system].
Initial consultations are 50 minutes, charged at £60.00, and follow the same terms.
Cancellations and Lateness
Please give 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a session. Cancellations with less notice or missed sessions may be charged in full. If you are more than 15 minutes late without contact, I will assume you are not attending. More info about the Cancellation Policy here.
Confidentiality and Limits
All sessions are confidential. However, I may need to break confidentiality if for example:
You disclose serious risk of harm to yourself or others
There is a legal requirement to do so
You disclose abuse of a child or vulnerable adult
This will always be discussed with you where possible.
Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including text, images, and resources, is the intellectual property of Therapy with Monica unless stated otherwise. You may not reproduce, copy, or use content without permission.
Data Protection
All data is handled in accordance with UK GDPR and outlined in the privacy policy.
Concerns or Complaints
If you have any concerns about our work together, I encourage you to raise them with me directly so we can explore and resolve them wherever possible. Open communication is part of the therapeutic process, and I will do my best to respond with care and professionalism.
If you feel your concern has not been resolved or you wish to make a formal complaint, you can do so through my professional body, the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
