PSYCHOSEXUAL AND RELATIONSHIP THERAPY
IN PERSON IN LEEDS AND ONLINE
What is psychosexual and relationship therapy?
Psychosexual and relationship therapy focuses specifically on concerns around sex, desire, and intimacy — either on your own, or together with a/multiple partner/s. It brings together talking therapy with an understanding of how body, mind, relationship, and life circumstances all shape our experience of intimacy.
These concerns carry a lot of shame and silence for most people, even though they're far more common than is generally talked about. This work is built to be a place where that silence doesn't have to continue.
I'm currently training in this specialism, working towards accreditation with COSRT, within their ethical and training framework, and under regular clinical supervision throughout. You're welcome to ask me about my training and experience at any point, before or during our work together.

There's no version of this that's too much, too small, or too unusual to bring.
What counselling can help with
This isn't an exhaustive list, but common areas include:
Desire differences — [e.g. mismatched libido between partners, or a change in your own desire over time]
Sexual anxiety or difficulty — [e.g. performance anxiety, pain during sex, difficulty with arousal or orgasm, without a clear medical cause]
Impact of life changes on intimacy — [e.g. illness, medication, menopause, pregnancy, ageing, or disability]
Rebuilding intimacy after a breach of trust — [e.g. infidelity, or a loss of closeness over time]
Sexuality and identity — [e.g. making sense of orientation, gender, or a part of yourself you haven't explored before]
Shame and inhibition — [e.g. a difficult relationship with your own body, or beliefs about sex carried from earlier in life]
Mismatched expectations between partners — [e.g. around frequency, type of intimacy, or what sex "should" look like]
Wanting a calmer, more honest relationship with sex — [e.g. simply wanting to feel less alone with something private]
"Your mental health is a priority. Your happiness is an essential. Your self-care is a necessity."
What to expect
We'll start with a short initial conversation, then an initial session to get a fuller picture of what's brought you here and how we might work together. From there, sessions continue at a pace and frequency that suits you, reviewed collaboratively as we go — never on a fixed timeline, and never with a predetermined idea of where you "should" end up.
Session length: 50 / 90 minutes Fee: £65/£45 Format: In person at my central Leeds practice, and/or online
