FEES AND CANCELLATION POLICY
This document sets out my current fees and cancellation arrangements. It is provided alongside your Therapeutic Agreement, and I will give you reasonable notice of any change.
1. Session fees
Session type
Fee
2. Payment
• Payment is due before each session, by [bank transfer / card / other agreed method].
• Details for payment will be provided separately.
• If payment is not received as agreed, I will raise this with you directly before any further steps are taken.
3. Cancellations, non-attendance and late arrivals
I ask for at least 48 hours' notice if you need to cancel or rearrange a session.
• Sessions cancelled with less than the agreed notice, or missed without notice, are charged at the full session fee to reflect the time reserved for you.
• This policy exists to protect the availability of regular sessions for all clients and is applied consistently and fairly.
• Exceptions may be considered in cases of genuine emergency, at my discretion, and I would rather we talk about this than assume it isn't possible.
• Sessions begin and end at the scheduled time. If you arrive late, the session will still finish at the agreed time, and the full fee will apply.
4. Planned and unplanned breaks
• I will give as much notice as possible of any planned breaks in our work, such as holidays.
• If an unplanned break becomes necessary on my part, I will not charge for sessions that cannot take place and will support you to access another practitioner if the absence is prolonged.
5. Fee reviews
Fees are reviewed periodically. I will give you at least one month's written notice of any change, and any change will not apply retrospectively to sessions already agreed.
6. Concessions
If cost is a barrier to accessing therapy, please raise this with me. Where possible, a limited number of concessionary rate spaces may be available; this will be agreed and confirmed in writing before we begin.
This policy is provided in line with BACP guidance on fair and transparent contracting.
